Summer Reading Time!!
A long, long time ago in a land far away there was a little girl who lived in lots of different places because her daddy was in the Navy and his family followed him around. There was always a new house and a new school to get used to, but the very best thing about moving was that there was always a new library to explore.Yes, I am a hopeless bookworm.
It's Summer Reading time at the library and because I am lucky blessed to have my dream job, I get to sign kids up for the Summer Reading program. I get to tell them about all the fun programs we have all summer long and if they read 15 books---ONLY 15 books---they get to pick out a brand new book to keep. We didn't have a program like that when I was growing up...sigh.
Our library is having an adult summer reading program this year :) How cool is that? So all you book worms drop by your local library and sign someone up.
I am currently joining Brenda from Cozy Little House in a book club on Goodreads. We are reading a book a month. This months book is Don't Go by Lisa Scottoline. Join us. Just go to Brenda's blog and sign up on sign in to your Goodreads account and look for the Cozy Little House Book Club. WHAT? you don't have a Goodreads account? Well run over and get one and then friend me. I'll be waiting.
Until next time,
Clara
I remember summer reading programs when my boys were young. Sounds like a fun time for you and everyone. Thanks so much for stopping by and for your helpful comments about my quilt.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Betsy. I assed you to my Bloglovin feed. I'm still having fun with Summer Reading and we are signing up lots of adults too!
DeleteWhen our kids were young we usually had a summer reading program for them. Great way to motivate kids during the summer months.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting. I'm happy to be a new follower.

Thanks Mary Aluce. My children are grown too, but now I get to sign up other peoples little ones and show them how exciting it is to read.
